Riverside Museum

Kelvingrove Park

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum houses one of Europe's great art collections. It is amongst the top three free-to-enter visitor attractions in Scotland and one of the most visited museums in the United Kingdom outside of London.

Venture further afield to visit Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s House for an Art Lover or take the train from out the SEC to the city centre and Princes square.

Local Transport

Transfers from Glasgow Airport
Taxis cost about £16.50 to City Centre (14 km) but there is a £2 discount if pre-booked using the code GCB1 (+44 (0) 141 889 1813).
Glasgow Airport Express bus link leaves from stand 1 up to every 10 minutes and takes 15 min (one way fare: £7.50).
Transfers from Prestwick Airport
Prestwick Airport is 53 km from Glasgow. There are trains every 20-30 minutes to Glasgow Central Station. The journey takes 45-50 minutes.
Transfers from Edinburgh Airport
From Stop C, a CitylinkAir coach goes directly to Glasgow city centre. It leaves every 30 minutes at peak times and the journey takes 1 hour. Tickets can be bought online here or from the driver.
Travelling on Glasgow trains
Train is the best way to get from the city centre to the SEC. Delegates staying away from the SEC may want to buy the ScotRailConference Rover ticket. At £5, it gives unlimited train travel for 5 days within the conference zone below:
